Providing NDIS-funded housing options to promote independence and well-being.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a type of housing designed specifically for people with extreme functional impairments or very high support needs. SDA homes are built to strict design standards set by the NDIS to ensure accessibility, safety, and long-term support for residents. These homes may include features such as reinforced structures for ceiling hoists, wider doorways for wheelchair access, and smart home technology to enhance independence.
SDA is funded by the NDIS for eligible participants, helping them access high-quality housing that meets their individual needs. However, SDA funding only covers the cost of the housing itself—it does not include the support services provided within the home. This ensures that people living in SDA have the freedom to choose their own support providers, promoting greater independence and choice.
At Unify SDA Housing, we are committed to providing high-quality, compliant SDA properties in Tasmania. We work closely with participants, families, and support networks to ensure that our homes enable independence, security, and a better quality of life.
