What is SDA?
Introduced under the national NDIS roll-out, SDA is a scheme designed to provide acceptable housing to those with serious disabilities currently forced to reside in circumstances inappropriate to their needs.
It is a tragic reality that many thousands of Australians – including young people – are forced to reside in nursing homes and aged care facilities as there is nowhere else for them to go.
NDIS participants have the chance to move into a home that is uniquely tailored to their needs. Investors have the chance to make ethical investments that support Tasmanian's.
There are currently over 500 Tasmanians eligible for SDA support packages many who live in inappropriate accommodation but have no immediate alternative options available to them. Many are younger Tasmanians. This is unacceptable and why the NDIS is seeking to address this. Being a locally owned and managed company, Unify SDA Housing will focus on the Tasmanian aspect and provide solutions.
